The Elven Forest

The Elven Forest is a newbie area. It is a good place to come right at the start of playing SD. There is water and, if you can kill the trout, food. The mobiles are of varying strength, and by the time you're level ten you should be able to kill most of then, no matter what race or class you choose. As you go further into the forest the mobs get harder. Up from Under the Tree (Ut) is a room that you cannot leave. You must wait until you are 'deported' back to Shadowdale.

Finally, beware of the Elven woman wandering around the north of the area. If she sees you fighting with the elves she'll teleport you away somewhere else in Shadowdale at random.
